JVC Smartphone Control is an application designed to operate and control a connected Android device through the touch screen control panel of a supported JVC AV Multimedia Receiver.

The Android device must support the Bluetooth HID Profile, HDMI, or MHL output.

• In order to connect the Android device to the JVC AV Multimedia Receiver, an optional HDMI-MHL Conversion Cable (KS-U61: sold separately) or HDMI Cable (KS-U60: sold separately) is required.
• A 5-pin to 11-pin micro USB adapter or HDMI adapter is necessary when using Samsung products.

Functions:

• Apps Launcher:
  If supported, this function allows launching apps that have been permitted for use while driving from the launcher home screen. The apps that can be operated while driving include JVC Smart Music Control, TuneIn Radio, and Waze. For other apps, only screen display without interaction is available while driving.
• Tap and Drag Operation:
  Control tap or drag operations on the Android device from the touchscreen panel of the receiver. Note that multi-touch operation is not supported.
• HOME/BACK/TASK Buttons:
  These buttons are displayed on the screen for operating the Android device, even if they are not shown on the device itself. The button location can be adjusted by dragging and can be minimized when not needed. These buttons are only visible when the Android device is connected to the receiver via Bluetooth. Some applications may not display these buttons, especially video apps. Additionally, specific configurations can be set for using apps like "OK Google."
• Screen fixed to Landscape mode display / Screen sleep function disabled:
  While connected to the receiver, the screen remains in landscape mode with the sleep function disabled. These settings revert to default after disconnecting from Bluetooth. If an app does not support landscape mode, it will display in portrait mode automatically.
• Power Saving Setting (Allow Connection):
  This setting allows users to turn off the linkage function with the receiver to decrease battery consumption when disconnected from Bluetooth. The setting needs to be turned back on when reconnecting to the receiver.

• If you change the output screen size of your Android device, please recalibrate the screen for optimal performance. Avoid touching the screen during calibration as it may disrupt the process.
